Find your tribe
May is Mental Health Awareness month and I’m sure most of us have either experienced or know someone who has experienced mental health challenges.
In my own life, I’ve personally battled and have close friends and family members who have struggled with managing the stress of daily living.
Our world is complex and navigating stress mindfully isn’t always easy.
Research shows that people that live the longest and are the happiest have strong, quality relationships.
In my own life, I have found this to be true. Connection is one of my top five Clifton Strengths and it’s also something I know I need to feel fulfilled.
Whether it’s friends, family, or a community, finding your tribe is not only fun, but it’s good for our brains and our health.
When we can share our thoughts, seek support, laugh together or just have fun, it helps calm our nervous system and replenish us from the inside out.
Connection is a natural antidote to stress. And given the challenges of the last few years, I’d bet we all could benefit from more of it.
Who’s in your tribe and how can you take a moment this week to reach out to them to connect?
I’d love to hear your what you discover.
For, the world needs who you were made to be!
