Find your light
I was staring out my office window yesterday admiring my tulips who recently made their way to the surface after hibernating all winter. Even though they are surrounded by weeds (unfortunately, I am not the best gardener), I couldn’t help but marvel at their changing beauty throughout the day.
In the morning, they started as small closed buds. Perfect shades of pastel pink and white. Each standing upright, waiting for the magic of a perfect Spring day to unfold. As the day continued, and the sun began to shine, each tulip started to open and lean heavily, in unison, in the direction of the light.
I watched in awe wondering how instinctively the tulips know how to follow the sunshine and how we can embrace that wisdom in our own lives. As we enter into the restorative power of Spring, where is the light shining in your life that is drawing you closer to it?
For me, I am excited about surrounding myself with people who are bold, willing to take risks and abandon the status quo in search of a more freeing life. I am also embracing the energy I feel writing and am honing my craft with workshops in memoir and travel writing.
The changing of the seasons offers an opportune time for reflection and small actions that can guide us closer to our dreams. Drop me a note and let me know what is inspiring you in this period of renewal.
